To avoid multiple input of the data and thus reduce sources of error, Advantage Customs can be linked up to your ERP system. This way many sequences can be automated. In addition, Advantage Customs can be adapted to your individual requirements.

What is ATLAS actually?
ATLAS is the IT system of the German custom authorities and stands for automated rate and local customs handling system. ATLAS is gradually being implemented for all procedures of customs declaration. For importing companies it is already obligatory to handle their processes using ATLAS. Exporting companies will also have to switch over to ATLAS by 1st of July 2009 at the latest. Then customs registrations on paper will no longer be possible.
As ATLAS is the internal IT system of the German custom authorities, you need your own software certificated by the customs authority in order to be able to send customs registrations to ATLAS. This software is provided by private suppliers, such as for example dbh Logistics IT AG.
