Advantage Pre-Declaration - our solution for EU-Entry Summary Declaration
With Advantage Pre-Declaration dbh offers an easy-to-use solution for exporters, importers, forwarders and carriers to generate and to send Entry Summary Declarations in the required country specific format.
Advantage Pre-Declaration covers the following message groups:
- ENS-messages
- Diversion Requests
- Arrival Notifications
- EXS-messages
Advantage Pre-Declaration will be available for all EU-countries. The first two milestones of the dbh-platform comprise seven countries. Further countries are implemented as part of clients projects or with a pre-advice of 3-4 months, e.g. if a change of schedules occurs or new relations are added to a network.

Preliminary remarks
The Entry Summary Declaration is an EU-wide obligation to be complied with latest
1st January 2011. It is part of the European Import Control System (ICS) and represents the first milestone within the planned Automated Import System (AIS). The ENS aims at a uniform risk analysis on a European level and promises faster processing and quicker release of goods after arrival.
Before Non-EU goods arrive at the first EU-customs office all necessary data must be presented electronically well in advance, e.g. overseas ocean freight consignments need to be lodged latest 24 hours prior to loading in the port of departure. This also includes cargo, which is due to be introduced into a free zone or FROB (foreign cargo remaining on board). Entry Summary Declarations are normally based on transport documents like Bill of Ladings or Air Waybills.
How Advantage Pre-Declaration works
Advantage Pre-Declaration is based on a 100% state-of-the-art web technology and can be implemented on various levels ranging from purely manual data entry to a fully automated solution with no direct user input.
It is operated as a SaaS-solution (software as a service) in our professional 3-tier data center. Different service level packages like Standard, Support Plus and 24-hours-Support ensure a smooth and practical technical and customer support according to different requirements.
