LogiMAT 2014: Fully automated international export processing

14. Feb 2014 | Customs & Foreign Trade, Customs software, Exhibition, Logimat

Anyone who acts internationally has to deal with export processing – as does Elmos Semiconductor AG (Elmos). And after outsourcing the order management and delivery processing from the Netherlands to Germany, the AES process processing had to be centralized at the headquarters in Dortmund.

At its German location, the manufacturer of semiconductor-based system solutions has been using the ATLAS-certified dbh software Advantage Customs for AES processing for several years. When the division was to be merged, Elmos asked dbh for assistance in implementing all necessary processes and software-side changes.

Together, dbh and Elmos developed the solution in cooperation with the Dutch customs software provider Fiton. For example, a connection from the customs software Advantage Customs to Sagitta (Customs System Netherlands) was implemented. The opening and automatic delivery of export operations to the Dutch customs system is now centrally available via software. For clerks, this means a uniform working environment. In order to also connect The Warehouse Management System of Elmos for the data flow, the interface was set up as a so-called black box. The automatic forwarding of the data does not require manual processing by the clerk.

The advantages of this project for Elmos are obvious. With the addition of a connection to Sagitta, Advantage Customs has made international customs clearance more efficient by eliminating long lines of communication and friction losses of a decentralized organization.

You will be pleased to receive more information about the dbh customs software Advantage Customs during LogiMAT (Messe Stuttgart, 25 to 27 February 2014) at the booth of dbh Logistics IT AG in Hall 5, Booth 464.
