LogiMAT 2014: Systematic Export Control

11. Feb 2014 | Compliance & Risk Management, Exhibition, Export Control, Logimat

Export control is a legal requirement that must be met in any case. Meeting this audit obligation involves a high amount of time and therefore costs. The systematic standardization of export control processes by the dbh module Export Control offers the possibility to make these processes more efficient.

The application is part of the risk management software Advantage Compliance and can be easily integrated into existing logistics processes. An example of this is Seiko Instruments GmbH. In order to meet not only the legal but also the own requirements, the manufacturer of electronic components implemented the dbh application export control into its IT landscape.

Thanks to the use of the module, the procedure of an article assessment has been standardized. And due to the documentation that was based on the goods, it is now possible for each user to understand why and on what basis an assessment was carried out. The federal gazette provides the corresponding content as well as any updates for the article assessment.

Continuous article inspections also increase security regarding compliance with embargoes. For example, the system proactively reports changes to product numbers or measures to the user and assists with the update. This ensures a smooth workflow. “We have found a system for things that we have to do by law anyway,” explains Mr. Antonio Nardella, Manager Logistics at Seiko Instruments GmbH. “And with the help of dbh, the entire process chain could be optimized and made more efficient.”

You will be pleased to receive more information about the risk management software Advantage Compliance and the Export Control module during LogiMAT (Messe Stuttgart, 25 to 27 February 2014 at the booth of dbh Logistics IT AG in Hall 5, Booth 464.
