TRANSPORT LOGISTIC REVIEW: dbh PRODUCT RANGE A COMPLETE SUCCESS

Overall, it is fair to say that the 15th international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management—transport logistic 2015 in Munich—was a complete success. From 5 to 8 May 2015, a total of 55,000 visitors flocked to the trade fair centre in Munich — up 5% from 2013 (52,308 visitors).

THE dbh STAND: ALWAYS POPULAR

dbh Logistics IT AG (dbh) also definitely noticed this increase in visitors, despite the rail strike. At 57%, the proportion of interested parties and instances of initial contact once again rose significantly compared to transport logistic 2013. Focusing on issues relating to customs and foreign trade, compliance and risk management, particularly in conjunction with SAP, as well as transport management, the Bremen-based IT software company absolutely hit the nail on the head as far as visitors were concerned. The dbh stand was constantly busy with non-stop technical discussions and the provision of solution-oriented advice.

C2C, CRM AND ADVANTAGE SUPPLY PROVED EXTREMELY POPULAR

"The key trade fair focuses of C2C and CRM—extensions for the CARGO ONLINE transport management system—proved extremely popular," says a delighted Marc Hasenbein, Vice President Sales and Marketing. "The CRM extension is tailored specifically to the requirements of the transport and logistics industry and makes the perfect addition to the sales toolbox. And with the new C2C interface, exchanging order data with customers, service providers and/or other sites is now a piece of cake."

Many interested parties and customers also took the opportunity to find out more about the new software for optimising supply chain processes. This software was unveiled for the first time at transport logistic. Supply processes based on the division of work can be organised, coordinated and monitored using Advantage Supply.

PORT SOLUTIONS ALSO REPRESENTED AT THE TRADE FAIR

The trade fair proved equally successful for the dbh Port Solutions department. The department was able to make national and international contacts at the joint VIA BREMEN stand, as well as strengthen business relationships and arrange follow-up appointments.

"Trade fair visitors were extremely interested in Advantage National Single Window. This solution can be used to complete reporting formalities for ship arrivals in all German sea ports in accordance with Directive 2010/65/EU," explains Bernd Huckschlag, Vice President Port Solutions. "There were also lots of discussions and enquiries about future projects in port logistics. Above all, services relating to electronic data exchange. New areas of business are opening up for our existing technologies in this area."
