dbh becomes a majority shareholder in indiwa

1. Mar 2017 | Forwarding software, to do, Transport management

Since February, the forwarding industry has benefited from a new cooperation in logistics IT. dbh Logistics IT AG (dbh) and indiwa digitale kommunikation GmbH (indiwa) are working together. indiwa develops software solutions for container hinterland traffic as well as for tariff and offer management. The web-based applications have been established on the market for many years. As a majority shareholder in indiwa, dbh is expanding its CARGO ONLINE forwarding software with new inland transport functionalities. At the same time, dbh strengthens its partner applications with sophisticated modules for handling sea and air freight.

Exploiting synergies

Thanks to the mutual integration and the resulting synergies, customers on both sides benefit from the partnership of the software houses. In addition to strengthening existing solutions, the two companies want to work together in the port hinterland. “We are confident that together we will present our products on the market even more successfully and thus expand our market position,” explains Marco Molitor, dbh Board Member.

And what happens next?

The company indiwa remains an independent company. Since 1 March 2017, Marco Molitor has been expanding the indiwa management team with Ingo Litek and Stefan Peters. For customers of the companies, only one thing changes: from now on, users benefit from the combined competence of both partners.
