The building, which was completed in July 2013, is home to JadeWeserPort Logistics Zone GmbH & Co. KG and JadeWeserPort realisation company mbH & Co. KG on the upper three floors. Partner companies such as dbh, a service provider for port and logistics IT, have established themselves on the four floors below. The location directly at the freight centre and only a few meters from customs clearance and the gate offers ideal conditions for all those involved in port operations.

Andreas Grunwald, site manager Wilhelmshaven, is convinced:”The JadeWeserPort will soon develop into a lively transshipment point with great strategic importance. For us and our projects around port IT, the new location is optimal in the middle of the action, because we are always close to our project partners and our customers.”

Port Community System for Media-Free Port Processes

dbh is a supplier of Wilhelmshaven Telematik (WHT), the Port Community System (PCS) at JadeWeserPort. A PCS is a neutral and open electronic platform that enables the intelligent and secure exchange of information between public and private institutions, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of maritime and airport airports. The system optimizes, manages and automates port and logistics processes through the networking of the supply chain participants.

In addition to the terminal operators, freight forwarders, shipping companies and port authorities – such as customs and water protection police – as well as the residents of the Logistic Zone are connected to the Wilhelmshaven system. BHT, the port telematics platform in the Bremish ports, which also comes from dbh, served as a model.
